The hottest months of the year are March, April, and May, with temperatures averaging 28 °C (82 °F). Throughout the year, nights are generally cooler at 22 °C (72 °F).
Temperatures also vary between the islands. The northern island group, which includes Mahé, is warmer due to its proximity to the equator, but it also receives more rain than the southern island group.
